How to find your True Guru?
Hello dear, welcome to this beautiful topic. I know you are hungry within to gobble up this info. So let’s begin by defining who is a Guru? Its a huge word! You might have learnt in school that, a guru means ‘a teacher’. And probably you were also told by your teacher’s that they are your guru’s and so you need to respect them and listen to whatever they say! Ahem Ahem, sounds familiar? Yeah I too learned this definition at school itself, perhaps I have two teacher’s in my family which made me open to 100’s of them frequently and so you can imagine why this definition is so perfectly worded from my side 😛 Well jokes apart, having them also have made me into what I am today. My writing and language has developed from there, no idea how good I am at language. But instead of writing perfect english I try to write my true words so that I can stir up the real thing that I wanna write and made understood to you.
So let’s get to the real definition of Guru, that I later on learnt from Life and from my Guru.
Guru is a person/ entity/ energy/ being who is meant to be your mentor for life. Which means he is supposed to guide you towards a path where evolution and spirituality growth are concerned. And you would get lesser to no setbacks. [ I wrote lesser, whereas its actually no setbacks you’ll learn later on why I wrote that] to excel in the physical reality as well as grow on spiritual dimension is what’s your Guru’s motto for you.
In my opinion, everyone needs a Guru. As every soul that’s born on this earth is not born just to enjoy yet another lifetime; eat, shit and enjoy the merriment that’s going on this planet. But every time a soul is born, the soul is supposed to live, learn and give. You are expected to do all these three tasks and keep doing them. You cannot do just one and then leave the other two. You HAVE TO do all. Whether you are willing or not. The universal intelligence will drive you towards a sequence of events and situations that will make you do the rest of the two.
Sounds like domination? Well its not that way exactly, the universe will make you do things that it wants you to do. And you would be in love with these things, so you wouldnt mind doing them. Out of your love for them, you will be creating things that the world needs.
Need an example of this? Well if the world needs a genius that will invent some extraordinary thingie, you might be compelled to watch sci-fi movies when you are expecting a baby! Simple Ehhh…..
– Who finds a guru?
All those who want a guru, need a guru, will find their guru. Guru is the most easiest person to reach to. You dont have to pay penances to reach out to your guru. He is already longing to embrace you in his arms. (here I say He, and its beyond Gender.)
– What are the characteristics of a true Guru?
A true guru will be able to know what you want, how you want it (but it doesnt mean, that he will give it to you in that way), whom you want in your life/ whom you dont want, what are your dreams, what sucks, what you would like to become( and what you actually have to become, though you might not want to accept it or want to run away from it), where you want to go and where you really have to reach in your life, what are your mistakes of past and how to make you mend them(though you might not want to talk about them), what makes you cry what makes you laugh, what is important what’s unimportant, what you want to learn & what you want to unlearn!
And the list goes on and on. But to be honest your guru knows it all. You neednt tell him all of it, neither he needs to spyingly get to know all of these from your neighbours.
– Where to find your Guru?
This is the most tricky question, not to say its difficult. But you actually have no clue where to find your Guru. Though your soul knows where to find Him. But when you are not in touch with your real self( for what your guru is meant), you might yet not know how and where to find him.
But the soul already knows and so you will be guided to go through a series of people/ books/ programs/ situations/ places/ intuitive messages/ dreams that will actually get you in touch with your perfect guru, that’s meant for you.
What to expect and what not to expect?
When you read all the above lines you do get a bit mesmerized by the words as to what they mean. But they are not puzzling. Its actually that way, it might turn for you. Your Guru might not be how you might expect him to be, but will be exactly how you expect him to be 🙂 . A Guru can be in physical form and in energetic form. You might be guided by a series of guides in energetic form towards a Guru in Physical form. Or you might be guided to by a number of physical teacher’s who might lead you to your guru in energetic form.
And he will start guiding you when you are least expecting it. Stop guiding you when you are most expecting it. Give you a thunderous teaching when you almost give-up the hopes to get some teaching from him ever. All this is not dont to scare the hell out of you, neither to trouble you. Its done to scare out the devilish ego inside you. You are loved but your ego is his enemy as well as your enemy. So from day1 he will prepare you to make a whole YOU minus the ego.
Yes how much time it takes to bring the change depends upon you. Also on him in some ways. He will know how quickly you need to evolve on your spiritual path and so his teachings and energy boosts(the energy that he passes through you, to help you evolve) will come at quick or medium pace as the universe commands him to.
– How to accept the negative actions/ words of your guru?
There are a number of different things said about the character of a true guru and one of them is this, that he might say hurtful things or do acts that might leave you in shock. Let me tell you if you are knowing someone in physical body then this would surely happen. Also this might happen if you have considered some master who has crossed over to higher levels, as your guru( this master might have done good as well as terrible things while being in physical forms)Now you need to be very clear, that the Guru is not limited to his body. And what he needs to teach you, will come out through him while he is intending to give you guidance. In his personal life he might be a totally different person.
He might be acting as a henpecked husband, a terrific dominant mother, a looser type of youngster etc. But they are not what they wish to play. They teach you through what they portray in front of you. Even the best guru’s of all time have said that “don’t do what I do, do what I teach”. As divine energy flows through them in the form of knowledge and so they will give it out verbally or through writings. Physical body may not always through actions impart wisdom through these Guru’s.
And while I say that you need to avoid all the negative things that you might notice about your guru’s actions, there will be a time when those stupid actions will really start meaning something to you. And you will begin to learn from those experiences too. And at that moment you will realize that whatever your guru tries to show, hide, teach, unteach, talk, talk foul words, eat, fart all are somewhere meant to teach you something.
Its a test, for you. Its a test not actually for you. But for your ego. As ego is what the guru will always try to challenge, confuse and captivate. The three C’s of a gurus charm 🙂 .
Why a guru is not wrong when they say negative, do negative or be negative?
Guru’s are the one’s that have already crossed the barriers of the physical world, they are the one’s who have mastered the five elements such that they are no more slaves to them, and they are the winner’s of MAYA. The Maya that creates illusion of suffering, distinction of good/ bad, difference of divine and devil, is surpassed by these extraordinary beings which is why they are termed as GURU’s as doing this is not an easy job! But doing this is actually the easiest job! 🙂
